Heading South from Fort William, find yourself amazed by the stunning views on either side. Remember to look out for local wildlife, including eagles, dolphins, porpoise, seals, otters and seabirds.

Soon we reach the local seal colony. Your guide will get you in as close as possible to the seals – can you tell a harbour seal from a grey? A naturally curious creature, you may find an inquisitive seal pops his head up to check you out!

With the mighty Ben Nevis dominating the skyline, we turn Northwards. Your tour guide will reveal several points of natural and historic interest before we sweep round the small isles at Corpach and head West through the rip tides at Annat Narrows. Be sure to keep your eyes on the shoreline – you can usually spot several hungry heron poised to grab a passing mackerel from this rich feeding ground.

Past the narrows, we find ourselves in the remote splendour of Loch Eil, alongside the world famous West Highland Line. Listen carefully and you may hear the sound of the approaching Jacobite Steam Train before she bursts into view – then it’s full speed ahead as we ‘race the train’ along the banks of Loch Eil.

Finally we turn towards the majestic Nevis Range and head back towards Fort William. One final stop at the historic Caledonian Canal sea lock and then it’s back to dry land, senses heightened and spirits refreshed!
