Fort William Sea Tours (FWST) will do everything possible to ensure your trip is a memorable experience. We do, however, ask that you follow some simple rules when going on Seafari with us:

  • Lifejackets will be provided prior to departure. These must be worn at all times during the trip.
  • Follow all safety instructions issued by the guide/skipper.
  • Please pay attention to the safety briefing prior to departure.
  • Please stay seated at all times while the boat is en route through the water.
  • Pets may only be carried by prior arrangement with the operator.
  • No smoking.
  • No drinking alcohol.
  • If you suffer from back pain, or any other condition which may be aggravated during the course of the trip, then this is not for you. FWST does not accept any liability for aggravation of pre-existing conditions.
  • Please dress suitably for the trip – even on warm days the temperature can be much cooler on the loch once the boat starts moving. 
  • FWST will endeavour to get all customers as close to the seal colony as is reasonably practicable, however, we cannot guarantee any sightings of wildlife during the trip.
  • When approaching the seal colony, please remain calm and avoid sudden movements/shouting/screaming/pointing, etc. The seals are easily alarmed and will disappear underwater if startled. Please consider your fellow passengers enjoyment of the experience when in the presence of wildlife.
  • Please refrain from engaging in any form of anti-social behaviour during the trip, and be considerate of your fellow passengers at all times. Anti-social and/or dangerous behaviour WILL result in the termination of the trip with no refund.
  • Customers who have made a booking must be in attendance at the pontoon shelter at least 10mins prior to sailing time. Failure to appear by this time will result in cancellation of the booking.
  • Fort William Sea Tours do not accept liability for loss of, or damage to, personal property.
  • The operator reserves the right to cancel the tour if the weather is poor, or for any other safety consideration. If a suitable alternative sailing cannot be arranged then a full refund will be made in such cases.
